Prof. Christian Heipke was honored by the president of the Brazilian Society of Cartography, Geodesy, Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, Paolo Cesar T. Trino, for his contributions to the international cooperation, especially in Brazil. He received the Brazilian Order of Merit (Comendador) on May 6, 2015 in Rio de Janeiro.
